Pdt Trump Evacuated , Press conference Interrupted As Shootings Erupt At White House

"Secret Service guards shot a person, who was apparently armed, outside the White House." President Donald Trump disclosed this on Monday just after being briefly evacuated in the middle of a press conference.

The president was abruptly  taken out of the press event and black-clad secret service agents with automatic rifles rushed across the lawn north of the White House.

Few minutes later, Trump reappeared at the press conference, where journalists had been locked in, and revealed that someone had been shot outside the White House grounds.

He said law enforcement shot someone who seems to be, the suspect. And the suspect was on the way to the hospital.

Trump said he didn't know anything about the identity or motives of the person shot, but when asked if the person had been armed, he answered: “From what I understand, the answer is yes.”

Ogun State To Reopen Schools Sept 21,To Adopt Staggered Timetables

          The Ogun State Government has announced Monday, September 21, 2020, the date for reopening of schools in the state for the first term of 2020/2021 session. The government, however, staggered the resumption and closing times for primary and secondary schools, while colleges and tertiary institutions keep full normal hours. The government said this on Monday in a press release by the Chief Press Secretary to the state Governor, Kunle Somorin. The government indicated that early child care development and education classes from three to five years of age are not  resuming yet in public schools until the next phase of school reopening. COVID-19:Schools To Resume with Staggered Timetables In Lagos State

     Lagos State primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions will be using staggered timetables and different teaching practices to meet the COVID-19 protocols as directed by the state government. The state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, had announced that tertiary institutions would resume September 14, with primary and secondary schools tentatively reopening September 21. Commenting on the development, the vice-chancellor, Lagos State University (LASU), Professor Olanrewaju Fagbohun on Monday, indicated that students of the university would resume in batches from September. The WHO stressed that strict measures should be observed to prevent surges in Corona virus infections.
