Pdt Trump Evacuated , Press conference Interrupted As Shootings Erupt At White House

"Secret Service guards shot a person, who was apparently armed, outside the White House." President Donald Trump disclosed this on Monday just after being briefly evacuated in the middle of a press conference.

The president was abruptly  taken out of the press event and black-clad secret service agents with automatic rifles rushed across the lawn north of the White House.

Few minutes later, Trump reappeared at the press conference, where journalists had been locked in, and revealed that someone had been shot outside the White House grounds.

He said law enforcement shot someone who seems to be, the suspect. And the suspect was on the way to the hospital.

Trump said he didn't know anything about the identity or motives of the person shot, but when asked if the person had been armed, he answered: “From what I understand, the answer is yes.”

Schools Reopening:Lagos State Approves 20/21 Academic Calendar

    The Lagos State Ministry of Education has released school calendar for 2020/2021 session. Olaniran Emmanuel, Head of Public Affairs, Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA) issued the details in a statement at the weekend. Public and private schools below tertiary level will commence First Term academic activities on Monday, 21st September, 2020 while the term runs through Friday 18th December, 2020. The Second Term begins on Monday 4th January, 2020 and runs through Friday 6th April, 2021 while students will resume for Third Term on Tuesday 4th May, 2021 and close on Friday 6th August, 2021.        Kogi State Government, under the leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello, has announced that schools in the State will fully resume September 14, 2020.This includes all primary and secondary schools,as well as tertiary institutions. This announcement came after the one made by the Lagos State G overnor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu,who ordered that all Tertiary Institutions in Lagos State should resume by 14th of September, 2020, and that primary and secondary schools should resume on 21st of the same month.                The federal government of Nigeria -FGN- has has given schools using international curriculum the go-ahead to continue third term in order to complete their school session and write their exams online.       The World Health Organization (WHO)  has stated conditions for prequalification approval of the Russian vaccine . Sanwo-Olu Approves Full Reopening Of Churches,Mosques

  The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has announced the full reopening of worship centres in the state. He made the announcement during a briefing in Lagos on Saturday. The governor indicated that mosques can hold their prayers five times daily while churches are also allowed to commence weekly services. The governor had on Friday, August 7 permitted mosques and churches to commence their Friday and Sunday services only.
