COVID-19:NCDC raises alert over 11 new symptoms of Corona virus

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control,(NCDC) has raised concern over 11 new symptoms of corona virus disease, known as COVID-19.
 The NCDC in its latest revelation on the new symptoms of Corona virus, called on citizens to contact their state hotlines for advice if they experience any of the stated symptoms of COVID-19.
The NCDC in a tweet obtained by Wellnet blog, revealed the new symptoms of the disease to include loss of taste/smell, body pain, headache, diarrhea, catarrh, fatigue,etc.
The agency said this in a tweet on its verified Twitter page.
It stated: “If you have COUGH or FEVER and 1 of these symptoms:
  • loss of taste/smell
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Diarrhea
  • Cattarh
  • Fatigue
  • Shivering
  • Body pain
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • "Please call your state hotline for advice.”

Schools Reopening:Ogun State Grants Automatic Promotion To All Students

      The Ogun  state government,Nigeria, has announced that all students had been given automatic promotion to the next class, including automatic enrollment for primary 6 students in public primary schools into JSS1 of public secondary schools.  New students who are resuming for the first time after the nationwide closure in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will join students in SS3 who are now writing the West African School Certificate Examination. The students will be joining in their new classes for the first term of 2020/2021 academic session. Meanwhile, early Child Care Development and Education classes, comprising pupils of 3-5 years, will not resume yet in public schools until the next phase of schools’ reopening. COVID-19:Lagos Government To Promote Students Using Continuous Assessment

     The Lagos State Government has said it will promote students in state-owned schools to the next classes based on their continuous assessments performance. The Commissioner for Education, Mrs Folashade Adefisayo, revealed this at interview on Channels Television on Thursday. Adefisayo also indicated that there was still no definite date for the full reopening of schools. “(For) the reopening (of schools), we are working with the Federal Government. So I cannot unilaterally say that we are doing this or that, but we are planning. “There are two scenarios. If we don’t have a third term, it means that we have to push the next session to next year.
