COVID-19:NCDC raises alert over 11 new symptoms of Corona virus

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control,(NCDC) has raised concern over 11 new symptoms of corona virus disease, known as COVID-19.
 The NCDC in its latest revelation on the new symptoms of Corona virus, called on citizens to contact their state hotlines for advice if they experience any of the stated symptoms of COVID-19.
The NCDC in a tweet obtained by Wellnet blog, revealed the new symptoms of the disease to include loss of taste/smell, body pain, headache, diarrhea, catarrh, fatigue,etc.
The agency said this in a tweet on its verified Twitter page.
It stated: “If you have COUGH or FEVER and 1 of these symptoms:
  • loss of taste/smell
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Diarrhea
  • Cattarh
  • Fatigue
  • Shivering
  • Body pain
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • "Please call your state hotline for advice.”

COVID-19:Students Protest Continued Closure Of High Institutions

      Students of tertiary institutions on Wednesday urged the Federal Government to reopen schools that have been shut down as part of moves to curtail further spread of COVID-19. They argued that schools could not remain shut while markets and worship centres had been re-opened. The students made their position known during a peaceful protest in Abuja. The protest took place both at the Unity Fountain and at the Ministry of Education, both in the Federal Capital Territory.          Ogun State Government is to refund money already paid by some parents for COVID-19 tests for their children. The government had earlier made it mandatory for each boarding pupil in private schools to pay N25,000 part payment for the test. Governor Dapo Abiodun, however, cancelled the test on Monday, after opposition and protests. The governor also apologized for the stress that this earlier decision caused affected parents and pupils. The Ogun government had stopped  COVID-19 test as a mandatory requirement for returning students in the exit class in Senior Secondary schools in the state. Gov.
