COVID-19:NCDC raises alert over 11 new symptoms of Corona virus

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control,(NCDC) has raised concern over 11 new symptoms of corona virus disease, known as COVID-19.
 The NCDC in its latest revelation on the new symptoms of Corona virus, called on citizens to contact their state hotlines for advice if they experience any of the stated symptoms of COVID-19.
The NCDC in a tweet obtained by Wellnet blog, revealed the new symptoms of the disease to include loss of taste/smell, body pain, headache, diarrhea, catarrh, fatigue,etc.
The agency said this in a tweet on its verified Twitter page.
It stated: “If you have COUGH or FEVER and 1 of these symptoms:
  • loss of taste/smell
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Diarrhea
  • Cattarh
  • Fatigue
  • Shivering
  • Body pain
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • "Please call your state hotline for advice.”

          The Ogun State Government has announced Monday, September 21, 2020, the date for reopening of schools in the state for the first term of 2020/2021 session. The government, however, staggered the resumption and closing times for primary and secondary schools, while colleges and tertiary institutions keep full normal hours. WHO Releases Names Of Countries With Highest Number Of Death Due To COVID-19,In Africa

        The World Health Organization, WHO, regional office for Africa in Brazzaville, Congo, has disclosed countries with the highest COVID-19 death cases in the continent. Africa has recorded 11,052 deaths linked to complications arising from COVID-19. According to the latest figure released by WHO, the number of COVID-19 cases in Africa has risen to 461,203 in the last 24 hours. Africa has also reported more than 222,000 recoveries from COVID-19 infections. As on Sunday, Egypt has 3,280 reported deaths, the highest number on the continent, followed by South Africa with 3,026 casualties and Algeria with 946 deaths. Africa’s most populous country, Nigeria, has reported 634 deaths.
