COVID-19:NCDC raises alert over 11 new symptoms of Corona virus

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control,(NCDC) has raised concern over 11 new symptoms of corona virus disease, known as COVID-19.
 The NCDC in its latest revelation on the new symptoms of Corona virus, called on citizens to contact their state hotlines for advice if they experience any of the stated symptoms of COVID-19.
The NCDC in a tweet obtained by Wellnet blog, revealed the new symptoms of the disease to include loss of taste/smell, body pain, headache, diarrhea, catarrh, fatigue,etc.
The agency said this in a tweet on its verified Twitter page.
It stated: “If you have COUGH or FEVER and 1 of these symptoms:
  • loss of taste/smell
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Diarrhea
  • Cattarh
  • Fatigue
  • Shivering
  • Body pain
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • "Please call your state hotline for advice.”

COVID-19:UN Calls On Nigerian Government To Ensure Safety Protocols Ahead Of School Resumption

              The United Nations has urged the Federal Government of Nigeria to ensure that safety protocols against the spread of COVID-19 are in place before full reopening of schools. The global agency stated that about 46 million primary and secondary learners across Nigeria are affected due to pandemic-related school closures. Schools Reopening:Lagos State Approves 20/21 Academic Calendar

    The Lagos State Ministry of Education has released school calendar for 2020/2021 session. Olaniran Emmanuel, Head of Public Affairs, Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA) issued the details in a statement at the weekend. Public and private schools below tertiary level will commence First Term academic activities on Monday, 21st September, 2020 while the term runs through Friday 18th December, 2020. The Second Term begins on Monday 4th January, 2020 and runs through Friday 6th April, 2021 while students will resume for Third Term on Tuesday 4th May, 2021 and close on Friday 6th August, 2021. Sanwo-Olu Approves Full Reopening Of Churches,Mosques

  The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has announced the full reopening of worship centres in the state. He made the announcement during a briefing in Lagos on Saturday. The governor indicated that mosques can hold their prayers five times daily while churches are also allowed to commence weekly services. The governor had on Friday, August 7 permitted mosques and churches to commence their Friday and Sunday services only.           The Ogun State Government has announced Monday, September 21, 2020, the date for reopening of schools in the state for the first term of 2020/2021 session. The government, however, staggered the resumption and closing times for primary and secondary schools, while colleges and tertiary institutions keep full normal hours. The government said this on Monday in a press release by the Chief Press Secretary to the state Governor, Kunle Somorin.
