When trying to list effective means of preventing the spread of infectious diseases like Covid-19, hand washing appears to occupy  top position on the list.
However, if water and soap are not available, your next best option according to the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, is the use of an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
Note that hand sanitizer is less effective at killing certain kinds of germs,  like norovirus and Clostridium difficile and unlike soap and water, it cannot wash away harmful chemicals. 
 People may unknowingly wipe off hand sanitizer before it has dried, and some can be less effective due their  alcohol  too low concentrations.
This piece tries to  teach you how  you can make your own hand sanitizer at home with only 3 ingredients and it’s really quite simple!
These are the ingredients you need to gather before settling for preparation.
 Ingredients
-   ⅔ Cup 99% Rubbing Alcohol
                      
 -  ⅓ Cup of Aloe Vera Gel
                   
                   
  -  Any of these essential Oils Of Your Choice :the best essential oils for hand sanitizer are Cinnamon, Tea Tree, Oregano, Rosemary
                   
 
    How to do it 
. Gather your ingredients and get a small bowl.
.    Mix the rubbing alcohol and aloe vera gel together until they're well blended
.    Add in just a few drops of essential oil of your choice.
               
  
     Important to know
 It is very important to use a rubbing alcohol which is 99% alcohol. For it to be effective, hand sanitizer must be at least 60% alcohol. Remember that when you add aloe vera, you reduce the alcohol content by 33%. This recipe creates a hand sanitizer that is about 65% alcohol.

COVID-19:FGN reopens doors for schools running international curriculum

               The federal government of Nigeria -FGN- has has given schools using international curriculum the go-ahead to continue third term in order to complete their school session and write their exams online. This is part of measures aim at easing the lockdown imposed in the country to keep the spread of corona virus pandemic under control. The Minister of State for Education, Dr. Chukwumeka Nwajiuba, who revealed this in Abuja while fielding questions from journalists at the daily press briefing of the Presidential Taskforce on Covid-19, said this has become necessary as there were private schools licenced to run foreign curriculum especially for children of expatriates and diplomats.      Lagos State primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions will be using staggered timetables and different teaching practices to meet the COVID-19 protocols as directed by the state government. The state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, had announced that tertiary institutions would resume September 14, with primary and secondary schools tentatively reopening September 21.        Kogi State Government, under the leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello, has announced that schools in the State will fully resume September 14, 2020.This includes all primary and secondary schools,as well as tertiary institutions. COVID-19:Lagos State Education Ministry Disowns School Calendar Out

    The Lagos State Ministry of Education has distanced itself from an academic calendar stating school reopening in the state. The ministry’s Education Quality Assurance, OEQA, unit called on inhabitants of the state to disregard the resumption time table circulating on social media. The purported 2020/2021 academic calendar, indicates that the first term of the session would start September 21, 2020 and end December 18, 2020. The academic calendar also indicated that  January 11, 2021 and May 3, 2021, as the commencement dates for the second term. COVID-19:Lagos State Releases New Plans For The 20/21 Academic Session As Schools Reopen

Ahead of the resumption of activities in both public and private schools, Lagos State Government on Sunday released a new academic structure adopted in the state after the lockdown of schools occasioned by the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.
