This is  a very simple method to check whether a woman is pregnant or not:

     Sugar Pregnancy test

Sugar had been used to test for pregnancy from time immemorial and is the most commonly used  for natural pregnancy test among women.
         

      What you need for the test

A clean container

One tablespoon full of sugar

A sample of urine collected once you wake up in the morning

     Method

Pour one tablespoon of sugar in the container and pour the collected urine sample on the sugar. Then,wait and watch.
              

    Positive sign

The urine of a pregnant women contains the hormone human Chorionic Gonadotropin. This hormone prevents sugar from dissolving.If you notice that the sugar cannot readily dissolve but form foam instead, it is a clear sign of pregnancy.

      Negative sign

If the sugar readily dissolves in the urine, it means that the urine does not contain hCG and therefore, there is no pregnancy.

This test is relatively harmless, and no special safety measures and protocols are needed to be observed.

                     The Federal Government of Nigeria -FGN - has presented the guidelines proposals for the reopening of schools across the nation to the National Assembly. The Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba made the presentation on Tuesday at a meeting with the Senate Committee on Basic and Secondary Education. He announced to the lawmakers the ministry’s plans for students to resume across the country.          The Federal Government Of Nigeria on Monday ordered all schools in the country to reopen for graduating pupils in Primary 6, JSS 3 and SSS 3 as from August,4. It also announced that this year’s 2020 West African Senior School Certificate Examination,WASSCE would commence on August ,17. This was contained in a statement published on Monday by the Director, Press and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Education, Ben Goong. In the statement titled, ‘Exit Classes To Reopen August 4th’, the ministry indicated that the agreed dates were part of the resolutions reached after a consultative meeting with the education commissioners of the 36 states of the federation and other stakeholders.

WHO Releases Names Of Countries With Highest Number Of Death Due To COVID-19,In Africa

        The World Health Organization, WHO, regional office for Africa in Brazzaville, Congo, has disclosed countries with the highest COVID-19 death cases in the continent. Africa has recorded 11,052 deaths linked to complications arising from COVID-19. According to the latest figure released by WHO, the number of COVID-19 cases in Africa has risen to 461,203 in the last 24 hours. Africa has also reported more than 222,000 recoveries from COVID-19 infections. As on Sunday, Egypt has 3,280 reported deaths, the highest number on the continent, followed by South Africa with 3,026 casualties and Algeria with 946 deaths. Africa’s most populous country, Nigeria, has reported 634 deaths. Other countries on the list include Sudan (608 deaths), Cameroon (313 deaths), Morocco (232 deaths), DR Congo (181 deaths), Kenya (159 deaths), Mauritania (129 deaths), Senegal (129 deaths), Mali (118 deaths) and Ghana (117 deaths).

        The sum of N1.5bn was spent as COVID-19 relief fund for staff of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC , Kemebradikumo Pondei, Acting Managing Director of the commission, said. Pondei revealed this at the investigative hearing on the N40bn corruption allegation against the commission. The Senate had on May 5 set up a seven-man ad-hoc committee to investigate the financial mismanagement of the Interim Management Committee of the NDDC.
