COVID-19:See The Special arrangement Of Classrooms In China.Can Other Countries Emulate This Example?

As the corona virus pandemic continue to spread all over the world, countries have started to proffer solutions on how to curb the deadly disease in their countries.
With more than hundred thousand lives lost all over the world due to this pandemic, no one wants to lose anymore live. Hence measures are put in place to fight this novel pandemic.
In this perspective, the measures put in place in schools in China to ensure their pulpils and students go back to school after a long lockdown are quite understandable.

In Nigeria, schools are currently shutdown due to spread of the virus among students.
Below are some of the photos of the new classroom arrangement in schools in China.
         
1.  Special individual desks are constructed to enable social distancing in the classroom and to avoid body contact among the students.

3.  Social distancing is properly maintained in the classroom.

Don't you think other countries  should emulate this China Example so as to save school from current deadlock?

COVID-19:Pdt BUHARI Oders For Compulsory Wearing Of Face Masks Nationwide

     President Muhammadu Buhari has directed state governments and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), to enforce the compulsory wearing of face masks in public places nationwide. This was announced by Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and Chairman of the Presidential Task force on COVID-19. Boss Mustapha was addressing journalists during Thursday’s PTF briefing. According to him, “President Buhari also asked the PTF to partner with states and local governments to improve community sensitisation and engagement to step up response to the COVID-19 response. "He has also encouraged state governments to collaborate with local government authorities to intensify necessary measures such as contact tracing, grassroots mobilisation and risk communication. "He also ordered that collaboration with other mandate groups at federal/state levels to harmonise the country’s COVID-19 response be strengthened on the short, medium and long-term basis.”

COVID-19:FGN reopens doors for schools running international curriculum

               The federal government of Nigeria -FGN- has has given schools using international curriculum the go-ahead to continue third term in order to complete their school session and write their exams online. This is part of measures aim at easing the lockdown imposed in the country to keep the spread of corona virus pandemic under control. The Minister of State for Education, Dr. Chukwumeka Nwajiuba, who revealed this in Abuja while fielding questions from journalists at the daily press briefing of the Presidential Taskforce on Covid-19, said this has become necessary as there were private schools licenced to run foreign curriculum especially for children of expatriates and diplomats.        The proprietors and teachers of private schools in Nigeria have expressed their worry over the continued postponement of reopening of schools in the country. The federal government has kept all the schools in the country closed down to curb the spread of corona virus pandemic. COVID-19:Russia To Commence Large-scale Provision Of Vaccine In September

     Russia will start large-scale provision of the coronavirus vaccine in September, Health Ministers Mikhail Murashko stated on Monday. “The vaccines will be supplied first and foremost to health care workers and teachers,” Murashko disclosed in comments carried by state news agency TASS. The vaccination “will be absolutely voluntary,” Murashko indicated. Russia was the first country to approve a vaccine for the novel coronavirus that it said could be used by the general public. Around 40,000 volunteers are in a phase 3 trial of the vaccine, state media reported. The vaccine which was developed by a state laboratory was initially tested on the lab’s workers and then volunteer soldiers. No significant side effects have been reported. COVID-19:Schools To Resume with Staggered Timetables In Lagos State

     Lagos State primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions will be using staggered timetables and different teaching practices to meet the COVID-19 protocols as directed by the state government. The state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, had announced that tertiary institutions would resume September 14, with primary and secondary schools tentatively reopening September 21. Commenting on the development, the vice-chancellor, Lagos State University (LASU), Professor Olanrewaju Fagbohun on Monday, indicated that students of the university would resume in batches from September.        Kogi State Government, under the leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello, has announced that schools in the State will fully resume September 14, 2020.This includes all primary and secondary schools,as well as tertiary institutions. This announcement came after the one made by the Lagos State G overnor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu,who ordered that all Tertiary Institutions in Lagos State should resume by 14th of September, 2020, and that primary and secondary schools should resume on 21st of the same month. Schools Reopening:Ogun State Grants Automatic Promotion To All Students

      The Ogun  state government,Nigeria, has announced that all students had been given automatic promotion to the next class, including automatic enrollment for primary 6 students in public primary schools into JSS1 of public secondary schools.  New students who are resuming for the first time after the nationwide closure in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will join students in SS3 who are now writing the West African School Certificate Examination. The students will be joining in their new classes for the first term of 2020/2021 academic session. Meanwhile, early Child Care Development and Education classes, comprising pupils of 3-5 years, will not resume yet in public schools until the next phase of schools’ reopening.
