Ogun State To Reopen Schools Sept 21,To Adopt Staggered Timetables

       


 The Ogun State Government has announced Monday, September 21, 2020, the date for reopening of schools in the state for the first term of 2020/2021 session.

The government, however, staggered the resumption and closing times for primary and secondary schools, while colleges and tertiary institutions keep full normal hours.

The government said this on Monday in a press release by the Chief Press Secretary to the state Governor, Kunle Somorin.

The government indicated that early child care development and education classes from three to five years of age are not  resuming yet in public schools until the next phase of school reopening.

The government said, “This second phase of the reopening of schools is extended to all classes in primary and secondary schools, technical and vocational colleges, and tertiary institutions.”

The statement explained that while  primary one  to primary three pupils resume for three hours between 8am and  11am, primary four to primary six pupils would resume at  12 noon and  close at  3pm.

The statement Also indicated that Junior Secondary School 1 to JSS 3 pupils  would also be in schools  between 8am and  11am and Senior Secondary School  1  to SS 3  pupils would be in the schools between 12 noon and  3pm.

“Tertiary institutions are allowed to commence reopening from 21 September, 2020 as may be determined by their respective management,” the statement indicated.
