COVID-19:Kogi,Osun States Announce School Resumption Dates

      


Kogi State Government, under the leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello, has announced that schools in the State will fully resume September 14, 2020.This includes all primary and secondary schools,as well as tertiary institutions. This announcement came after the one made by the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu,who ordered that all Tertiary Institutions in Lagos State should resume by 14th of September, 2020, and that primary and secondary schools should resume on 21st of the same month.

The information was released on Monday by the State Commissioner for Education, Honorable Wemi Jones, FCIB, during a press briefing in Lokoja.

When announcing this, Kogi State Government has indicated that all schools in the State should resume on September 14, 2020; and this includes primary and secondary ,as well as tertiary institutions.

Osun State,  and Kogi State are respectively second and third in the list of States having announced schools reopening.

It should be recalled that Lagos was the first State to signify their commitment to see full restoration of school activities disrupted by the COVID-29 outbreak.

It is expected that all other States will take more initiatives very soon in order to restore the education activities nationwide.
