       The Federal government of Nigeria has said that there's no time frame yet to reopen the schools in Nigeria, indicating that the school could only be reopened when it is safe to do so. This position was expressed by the state Minister of Education, Mr. Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba during a live NTA interactive meeting held on Tuesday night, 10.30 pm. The programme was hosted by the popular NTA journalist, Omini Ode, and consists of the honourable minister of State Education, Director General of National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA), Commissioner of Education in Enugu, Pro. FGN Agrees To Pay Owed Private Schools Teachers Salaries

      The Federal Government Of Nigeria -FGN- has agreed to pay the salaries of private school teachers whom are being owed by their school’s manag -ement since the lockdown began in March. This was contained in a statement signed by the President of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools, NAPPS, Yomi Otubela. Otubela disclosed that the association forwarded a proposal to the Economic Sustainability Committee headed by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, for the government to pay the salaries of the private school teachers. He indicated that an approval has been granted to the proposal by the Federal Executive Council.
