FGN Begins N75 Billion MSME's Survival Funds Registration

The President Buhari led Administration has opted to put money in the hands of Nigerian's through the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises, MSME's support Survival Fund which will be available for beneficiaries as from today.

Mr. Laolu Akande, the SSA to the V.P Osibanjo's on media and publicity announced on Monday that this will be implemented for a Sustained Economic plan.

He added that the survival Fund which is part of the Economic sustainable plan of the Government will be open for potential beneficiaries and they can get information on website.

          The Ogun State Government has announced Monday, September 21, 2020, the date for reopening of schools in the state for the first term of 2020/2021 session. The government, however, staggered the resumption and closing times for primary and secondary schools, while colleges and tertiary institutions keep full normal hours. The government said this on Monday in a press release by the Chief Press Secretary to the state Governor, Kunle Somorin. The government indicated that early child care development and education classes from three to five years of age are not  resuming yet in public schools until the next phase of school reopening. WHO Releases Names Of Countries With Highest Number Of Death Due To COVID-19,In Africa

        The World Health Organization, WHO, regional office for Africa in Brazzaville, Congo, has disclosed countries with the highest COVID-19 death cases in the continent. Africa has recorded 11,052 deaths linked to complications arising from COVID-19. According to the latest figure released by WHO, the number of COVID-19 cases in Africa has risen to 461,203 in the last 24 hours. Africa has also reported more than 222,000 recoveries from COVID-19 infections. As on Sunday, Egypt has 3,280 reported deaths, the highest number on the continent, followed by South Africa with 3,026 casualties and Algeria with 946 deaths. Africa’s most populous country, Nigeria, has reported 634 deaths. Other countries on the list include Sudan (608 deaths), Cameroon (313 deaths), Morocco (232 deaths), DR Congo (181 deaths), Kenya (159 deaths), Mauritania (129 deaths), Senegal (129 deaths), Mali (118 deaths) and Ghana (117 deaths).
