FGN Begins N75 Billion MSME's Survival Funds Registration

The President Buhari led Administration has opted to put money in the hands of Nigerian's through the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises, MSME's support Survival Fund which will be available for beneficiaries as from today.

Mr. Laolu Akande, the SSA to the V.P Osibanjo's on media and publicity announced on Monday that this will be implemented for a Sustained Economic plan.

He added that the survival Fund which is part of the Economic sustainable plan of the Government will be open for potential beneficiaries and they can get information on website.

              The United Nations has urged the Federal Government of Nigeria to ensure that safety protocols against the spread of COVID-19 are in place before full reopening of schools. The global agency stated that about 46 million primary and secondary learners across Nigeria are affected due to pandemic-related school closures. The UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator, Edward Kallon, stated this in a release he issued on Monday in commemoration of the World International Day to Protect Education from Attack. Schools Reopening:Lagos State Approves 20/21 Academic Calendar

    The Lagos State Ministry of Education has released school calendar for 2020/2021 session. Olaniran Emmanuel, Head of Public Affairs, Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA) issued the details in a statement at the weekend. Public and private schools below tertiary level will commence First Term academic activities on Monday, 21st September, 2020 while the term runs through Friday 18th December, 2020. The Second Term begins on Monday 4th January, 2020 and runs through Friday 6th April, 2021 while students will resume for Third Term on Tuesday 4th May, 2021 and close on Friday 6th August, 2021. Sanwo-Olu Approves Full Reopening Of Churches,Mosques

  The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has announced the full reopening of worship centres in the state. He made the announcement during a briefing in Lagos on Saturday. The governor indicated that mosques can hold their prayers five times daily while churches are also allowed to commence weekly services. The governor had on Friday, August 7 permitted mosques and churches to commence their Friday and Sunday services only. He, however, warned that the safety protocols released by the government must be strictly observed. Ogun State To Reopen Schools Sept 21,To Adopt Staggered Timetables

          The Ogun State Government has announced Monday, September 21, 2020, the date for reopening of schools in the state for the first term of 2020/2021 session. The government, however, staggered the resumption and closing times for primary and secondary schools, while colleges and tertiary institutions keep full normal hours. The government said this on Monday in a press release by the Chief Press Secretary to the state Governor, Kunle Somorin. The government indicated that early child care development and education classes from three to five years of age are not  resuming yet in public schools until the next phase of school reopening.        The Federal Government of Nigeria says state governments and school administrators should start making preparations for the full resumption of school in the country. Remember  that schools in the country were shut in March as part of measures to curtail the spread of the coronavirus disease.
