FGN Begins N75 Billion MSME's Survival Funds Registration

The President Buhari led Administration has opted to put money in the hands of Nigerian's through the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises, MSME's support Survival Fund which will be available for beneficiaries as from today.

Mr. Laolu Akande, the SSA to the V.P Osibanjo's on media and publicity announced on Monday that this will be implemented for a Sustained Economic plan.

He added that the survival Fund which is part of the Economic sustainable plan of the Government will be open for potential beneficiaries and they can get information on website.

COVID-19:Kogi,Osun States Announce School Resumption Dates

       Kogi State Government, under the leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello, has announced that schools in the State will fully resume September 14, 2020.This includes all primary and secondary schools,as well as tertiary institutions. This announcement came after the one made by the Lagos State G overnor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu,who ordered that all Tertiary Institutions in Lagos State should resume by 14th of September, 2020, and that primary and secondary schools should resume on 21st of the same month. The information was released on Monday by the State Commissioner for Education, Honorable Wemi Jones, FCIB, during a press briefing in Lokoja. COVID-19:Pdt BUHARI Oders For Compulsory Wearing Of Face Masks Nationwide

     President Muhammadu Buhari has directed state governments and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), to enforce the compulsory wearing of face masks in public places nationwide. This was announced by Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and Chairman of the Presidential Task force on COVID-19. Boss Mustapha was addressing journalists during Thursday’s PTF briefing. According to him, “President Buhari also asked the PTF to partner with states and local governments to improve community sensitisation and engagement to step up response to the COVID-19 response. "He has also encouraged state governments to collaborate with local government authorities to intensify necessary measures such as contact tracing, grassroots mobilisation and risk communication. "He also ordered that collaboration with other mandate groups at federal/state levels to harmonise the country’s COVID-19 response be strengthened on the short, medium and long-term basis.”

COVID-19:FGN reopens doors for schools running international curriculum

               The federal government of Nigeria -FGN- has has given schools using international curriculum the go-ahead to continue third term in order to complete their school session and write their exams online. This is part of measures aim at easing the lockdown imposed in the country to keep the spread of corona virus pandemic under control. The Minister of State for Education, Dr. Chukwumeka Nwajiuba, who revealed this in Abuja while fielding questions from journalists at the daily press briefing of the Presidential Taskforce on Covid-19, said this has become necessary as there were private schools licenced to run foreign curriculum especially for children of expatriates and diplomats.   As some states are about to  resume school, the Federal Government of Nigeria said normal procedures should be followed. Any school willing to resume must be cleared and given a go-ahead by their State Government. In the PTF meeting which was held yesterday, September 14th, the minister  of state for education Chukwuemaka Nwajiuba stated that t he Ministry of education would shut down any  school that violates covid-19 protocols. Any school that plans to resume must first make sure all covid 19 containment measures are put in place for safe reopening for their student. COVID-19:Lagos State Releases New Plans For The 20/21 Academic Session As Schools Reopen

Ahead of the resumption of activities in both public and private schools, Lagos State Government on Sunday released a new academic structure adopted in the state after the lockdown of schools occasioned by the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic. The Commissioner for Education in the state, Mrs Folasade Adefisayo announced this in a release through, the Head of Public Affairs of the ministry, Mr. Kayode Abayomi.
